A word of thanks from us all…

First of all, we and all our artists / publisher clients thank you for supporting their self-distribution efforts.  Without an active fan base / audience to support artists whom pursue self-distribution, it would nearly be impossible to create and distribute independent works of art. 


Our M.O. is about helping the independent artists and publishers, and not to make a buck off of them…

B.O.W. is offering the basic level service free-of-charge to artists and content publishers.  The basic level of service is almost 85% of all the features on the service.  Artist and publishers are not required to upgrade service or otherwise use any of B.O.W.’s paid-for features such as e-mailing, data analysis, industry reports, and consulting services.  In other words, it is by-and-large a free service, and we do not force artists and publishers to buy anything after they sign-up.


We are asking you to acknowledging the followings terms and conditions that will keep us protected from lawsuits that may shut down the free service…

By supplying your information to the Box Office Widget (“B.O.W.”) service, you acknowledge the following terms and conditions, and the steps implement to protect your privacy.


  1. The information you provide via the “widget” will be provided to the artist/publisher whose work is wrapped within the widget.  The artist/publisher is bounded by fairly strict guidelines (please click here to see the terms and conditions governing artists here) to not abuse this information.  In addition to other restrictions, they cannot sell or provide your name or email information to any third party.
  2. You acknowledge that the information will be used for informational, marketing and sales purposes, and that the artist/publisher will use this information to contact you from time to time, at frequency determined by the artist/publisher.  You acknowledge some of these communications will be soliciting you to buy their works, merchandise, donations, or other monetary-based transactions, and that by giving your email information, you agree to receive these types of solicitations from the artist/publisher.
  3. You have the right to request the artist or publisher to remove your name and email from their contact list, and you have a reasonable expectation that they will remove your name within two weeks.  If you continue to receive communication from the artist/publisher, you may contact B.O.W. directly and we will intervene to remove your name from the artist’s/publisher’s list.  In the event the artist/publisher has downloaded your information from the B.O.W. computers to their own computer, the information will be beyond our reach to delete.  At that time we will request the artist/publisher to cease and desist, and will suspend their B.O.W. account if they do not comply accordingly.
  4. You agree to hold B.O.W., its parent company, subsidiaries, officers, employees, and affiliates harmless from any claims of injury or damage, whether tangible or intangible, physical or emotional, visible or invisible, as a result of submitting your information to an artist/publisher using this service.  You further agree not to make any monetary or performance claims against B.O.W., its parent company, subsidiaries, officers, employees, and affiliates for any injury or damages resulting from the use of the B.O.W. service.
  5. Lastly, if you still decide to file a legal claim or lawsuit against B.O.W., you agree to settle the matter in mediation or binding arbitration in the county of Los Angeles, in the state of California.  You further agree and acknowledge that these terms and the service will be governed under the laws of the state of California.
